WETLAND WONDERS

Overview
An environmental learning program recommended for Grade 5 students.
Wetland Wonders is an environmental learning program specially designed for Grade five students. Students are immersed in wetland environments for much of the day, while also exploring adjacent forested areas. This engaging learning program is full of rich, first hand contact with the natural world.
Wetland Wonders includes four 75 minute activities.
In a unique blend of 'camp' style fun and engaging environmental learning, students spend the day learning about the three types of wetlands found at Kamp Kiwanis: Fens, Ponds, and Streams.
Many of the activities used such as the 'Home Sweet Home', 'Lost Letters', and 'Magic Spots' come from The Institute for Earth Education (IEE). IEE creates many excellent environmental learning programs including Sunship Earth and Sunship III.
