EARTH WONDERS

Overview
An environmental learning program recommended for Kindergarten students.
Earth Wonders is an environmental learning program specially designed for Kindergarten students. The program focuses on appreciating the wonder and diversity of the lower foothills environment through engaging immersing experiences. In 'Meebug', students learn about forest animal's needs and homes. 'Discovery' takes students to an undisovered planet and has them complete a top secret 'mission'. 'Boreal Buffet' includes a dining experience in an unusual way. Two of our activities are taken from a book called 'Earthwalks' by The Institute for Earth Education. 'Windancers' and 'Rainbow Chips' (from 'Earthwalks') take students on a refreshing touch of nature through rich, first hand contact with the natural world.
Earth Wonders captures students' imagination through the use of puppets and songs. The day is a unique mixture of environmental learning and 'camp' style fun. Staff instructors and parents provide the instruction, while teachers participate along with students.
